Fuse Location help?

Winnbago 2005 Voyage -The problem appears that I have no power at my 7 prong connector for my toad assuming my tester is working The wiring from the MH to the toad is all new product. Test shows no power at the MH prong. Any idea where the fuse is located? I have checked the dash area etc though nothing indicates a fuse for this. Any ideas??? Thank you for reading....

I do not have the same unit as you do but my plug has an inline fuse just off the battery as my positive comes from there. Hope this helps but sure you will get more responses

Somewhere along the line Winnie started using fused relays for the towing lines. Ours on a 2007 coach is located behind a metal panel in the shore power compartment.

Many have turned on a turn signal or 4-ways and then listened for the 'clicking' of the relays.

Spokefor Go to the link below and you shall see the light. Is all of the power missing are just one line? I worked with this guy over on the toad forum. The wiring is the just about the same as on your 2004 chassis as his. If this does not help let me know more details so I can look more at the drawings. Be sure and read to the end.

Check the wiring diagrams

Wiring Diagrams

select

Auto Lamps Wiring Diagram for your model.

on our 2007 Adventurer the power & brake control lines werent wired, just the lights & ground were. The wires were run though, and just had to be connected.

I believe you will find Pusherman is right. The panel is a little hard to find as it appears to be part of the side wall. but the fuse's are behind this panel. It may be on the right side of the compartment.

When your were checking the R.V. out let to your toe car did you see if you were getting any elect.
Did you turn your lights on because if your lights a not on I don't think that there would be any Elect. at that point.
Just a thought.

I have an 03 ..my power to the connector is fed off the clearance lamps..are the clearance lamps burning...the fuse on mine is under the dash on the drivers side..think it is a 15 amp ...also on my 03 Adventruer, there is another fuse box used the hood...drivers side...good luck..it took me a while to run down the guilty fuse, until someone else had the same problem

keep us posted

Fuse Location Help?

All,
Thanks again for your suggestions. Tried light on, listing for directional etc ect.checked every fuse I have and all appear to be good. Looked underneath at towing electrical connector and the wiring appears to be not following any color code etc...SO I will tear out he old and replace with new wiring. Who knows what happenned/what was done before I acquired the coach. Thanks again all.

Spokefor,
Well Sir, not sure about a "Voyager" since I don't know which model it is, or what engine it has etc. Since yours is an '05, it may, just may, be close to the same wiring as our Itasca. Just a guess here. But, I just went through all of what you're going through, about a couple of weeks ago. I asked and got lots of answers so, I simply dug around until I found them.

In our coach, an '04 Itasca Horizon, 36GD with the 330 CAT, the fuses for the trailer plug are in a recessed panel, behind the louvered panel that covers the dash air conditioning condenser, on the left rear of the coach. I undo a couple of screws, and that louvered panel lifts, just like a compartment door. I have to prop it up 'cause there's no gas struts to hold it open.

Now, in the little recessed panel is, the ECM for the Allison trans, the Fuse module for the trailer plug and, one more fuse module for the trans and other functions. Here's a pic of what ours looks like, again, yours may or may not look like it and be located in the same area. But, it might be worth a look. Good luck.
Scott

There are no fuses on your Voyage as there are no fuses on our Voyage. We found out that the pack/splitter at the wiring harness on the motorhome had gone bad.....replaced it and all lights work again on our toad.

My former motorhome was a 1999 Adventurer on a Ford chassis. I had a similiar problem with loss of power to turn signal.

It was a fuse under the dash ... you had to have the ignition ON and the turn signal lever ON to detect the blown fuse with a voltmeter ... it cost me a lot for a tech to discover this problem ... hope you find your problem
